WEATHER AND LIGHTNING POLICY

Moselem has a lightning detection system and a policy that we require you to follow.  These are in place for everyone’s safety when lightning is in the area.  The signal for discontinuance of play is a ten (10) second loud siren tone from the detection system; at that point you MUST stop play and return to the clubhouse immediately.  The system has detected lightning in the area and the golf course is unsafe for play.  We ask that when returning to clubhouse; pull your golf cart into the cart barn and wait the storm out.  When lightning has moved out of the area, an all-clear signal will sound by the system.  This is a three short blast tone for ten (10) seconds.  Please keep in mind even though the all-clear has sounded the golf course may be unfit for play due to the storm.  Players wishing to return to the golf course must have permission from the golf staff.
